Our History

Andrew T. Johnson started our company in 1938 on Beacon Hill, with his wife, Evangeline, handling the books and billing. As the business grew, Andrew T. Johnson Co. employed fifty employees in several locations by 1947. After Andrew T. Johnson passed away in 1978, veteran employee Warren K. Leslie took the helm and opened the Wales Copy Center in Lexington. In 1980, he founded Beacon Hill Courier Service, Inc. to meet the growing demand for reliable personal deliveries. For the past decade, Andrew T. Johnson Co. has continued to update its equipment to keep pace with the latest advancements in printing and reprographics.

• Digital Imaging / CAD Plotting: Large format digital "E" prints, black & white and full-color CAD plots, and large-format scanning & archiving.
• Display Graphics: Full-color posters, presentation boards, indoor and outdoor banners, wall graphics, point-of-purchase (POP) signage, and trade show graphics.
• Copying / Duplication: High-speed black & white and color duplication, digital color brochures & mailers, business cards, envelopes, postcards, and newsletters.
• Offset Printing: Business cards, business stationery, carbonless business forms, social announcements, single & two-color printing, and finishing services like mounting, binding, laminating, and UV coating.
