Sustainability Practices

1st Coast Printing fully embraces sustainability practices. All operations are continually evaluated for improvements to minimize our carbon footprint and impact on the environment. Recycling and the use of recycled and recyclable products are a priority when practical. We are developing/implementing paperless workflow, i.e., documents for order processing and accounting purposes are produced, distributed, and archived electronically instead of being printed, mailed, and filed whenever possible. Every effort is made to route production geographically to minimize delivery distances. Products that we offer for sale that contain recycled materials and/or are recyclable are presented and promoted, when available. Manufacturers with their own environmental mission statements are favored, noting the use of raw materials with recycled content, paper from mills certified by Sustainable Forestry Initiative and Forestry Stewardship Council, and soybean/vegetable-based inks.
