At Longmont Digital Printing, we are proud to be a family-owned and operated business that has been serving the Longmont community for decades. Our story began in 1983 when Joe and Lucy Thies relocated from Chicago, Illinois to Longmont, Colorado with a dream of building a business that would allow them to work, play, and raise a family. After founding their first printing company in Broomfield, Colorado in 1988, they went on to purchase a printing company in Longmont in 2006, renaming it Longmont Printing.
Throughout the years, Joe and Lucy have accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience in the printing industry, with a diverse range of skills that have enabled them to master all phases of print production. Joe's background as a fine artist and service technician has given him a unique understanding of printing and copying equipment, while Lucy's experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and sales has been instrumental in the couple's success.
The Thies family is proud to say that their children have grown up in the printing trade, with each of them contributing their skills and talents to the business. Eric, the eldest son, has joined the company and has a particular passion for sign and vehicle graphics production. He is also working towards becoming an Avery Dennison and 3M Certified Graphics Installer. Ann Marie, the youngest sibling, has brought her fine arts skills and strong customer service background to the company, working in our graphics department and also doing vinyl installations on vehicles and signs. Kyle, the youngest of the Thies children, is currently employed as a professional alloys welder and has been involved in projects requiring metal fabrication such as signage and wall art.
