Our History

Leigh Visual Imaging Solutions has a storied history spanning over seven decades. Founded in 1945 by Francis "Fran" Leigh, the company began as a small professional photography studio in downtown Trenton. Fran, a visionary entrepreneur, instilled a strong emphasis on quality and professionalism from the very beginning. Throughout his tenure, he built a reputation for excellence, working with prominent clients such as AT&T, Time Magazine, and Lenox China, among others.

Leigh Photographs thrived in Trenton until 1980, when the company relocated to its current state-of-the-art facility in Princeton Junction. In a testament to Fran's forward-thinking approach, the company embraced digital photography as early as 1981, recognizing its potential far before it became mainstream. This early adoption of cutting-edge technology cemented Leigh's position as an innovator in the imaging industry.

In 1999, the company was purchased by Peter Dawson, then the Director of Operations, who has continued to steer its growth and success. Over the years, Leigh has undergone a series of name changes, reflecting its evolving offerings and adapting to the dynamic world of communication technology. The latest transformation brought the company name to Leigh Visual Imaging Solutions, a direct result of the expansion into large-format digital printing in 2009.
