Precision Industrial Printing Solutions
Since 1991, Pad Printing Services has specialized in precision printing solutions for industrial clients across the United States. Our journey began in Seattle when an engineer approached our sign-making studio seeking a way to print on curved surfaces, leading us to adopt pad transfer printing technology. Over three decades, we've evolved from manual machines to advanced TOSH printers and Roland UV digital systems, serving long-term clients in medical device manufacturing, electronics, and consumer goods industries. We maintain CA Prop 65 compliance through specialized inks and employ corona plasma pretreatment for challenging materials like nylon and polypropylene. Our in-house CadCam/CNC capabilities enable custom fixture production, while our commitment to quality extends to First Article approvals and ISO-standard processes. We prioritize customer partnerships over transactional relationships, offering tailored solutions without charging for art creation or tooling. Our digital printing division expands creative possibilities while reducing hazardous material concerns. With decades of experience working alongside engineers and manufacturers, we combine technical expertise with practical problem-solving to deliver durable, high-quality printed components. Our liability protections and clear communication protocols ensure transparent business practices, while our refusal to store customer data underscores our commitment to security and trust.

Serves medical device manufacturers and electronics industries with precision logo and graphic application.
Digital Printing
Roland UV digital printing services offering full-color imaging on diverse substrates. Capable of printing virus testing kit housings, electronic components, and specialty items like art canvas. Ecosolvent inks provide durable finishes while reducing hazardous material concerns.
CNC Fixtures
In-house CadCam/CNC manufacturing for custom jigs and fixtures. Supports both pad and digital printing processes with precision-engineered solutions. Eliminates third-party dependencies while maintaining tight tolerances for repeatable print quality.
Medical Device Printing
Precision printing for regulated medical equipment housings and components. Maintains compliance with industry standards through controlled processes. Handles sensitive applications like diagnostic testing kits requiring exacting print specifications.
First Article Approval
Comprehensive first article verification process before production runs. Ensures dimensional accuracy, ink adhesion, and specification compliance. Provides documented approval to prevent production errors and maintain quality consistency.
People
Gordon Christensen
Owner
Gordon founded Pad Printing Services in 1991 after discovering pad transfer printing through the Thomas Register. With engineering expertise from Seattle's manufacturing sector, he transitioned from sign-making to industrial printing, pioneering custom solutions for complex components while maintaining long-term client relationships.
Questions
What materials can you print on?
We print on PC, ABS, PVC, acrylic, nylon6, and PP plastics using corona plasma pretreatment. Also handle medical device housings, electronic components, and specialty items like ceramic tile and art canvas.
Are your printing processes compliant with safety standards?
We use CA Prop 65 compliant inks and maintain ISO-standard processes for clients requiring certification. UV curable inks undergo adhesion testing to ensure durability and safety for end-use applications.
How do you handle confidential projects?
We sign non-disclosure agreements with clients and maintain strict confidentiality. Due to NDAs, we cannot display current project samples but have served repeat industrial customers for over 20 years.
What's your typical turnaround time?
After digital proof or first article approval, production takes 1-2 weeks. We store printed parts overnight for ink cure before shipping via UPS with tracking to destinations across the 48 contiguous states.
Do you charge for setup or tooling?
We don't charge for art, clichés, fixtures, or tooling creation - these remain our property. Setup charges cover machine preparation and post-printing cleanup for each production order.
